Physical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Kinetics(English)(1),24/25-P
The study course views the theoretical laws of electrochemistry. The study of electrolyte conductivity, of electrode potentials, and thermodynamics of galvanic cells are viewed. The study course provides knowledge about the methods of measuring electrical conductivity and electromotive force of galvanic cells. Students gain knowledge about methods of electrochemical analysis and their use in practice. Students acquire knowledge of the basics of the kinetics of electrochemical processes. The study course pays attention to electrochemical corrosion and metal protection against corrosion. The knowledge acquired in the study course is sufficient for students to apply the knowledge and understanding of electrochemical processes in practice. The basic laws of theoretical kinetics are viewed in the study course. A student acquires knowledge of formal kinetics and the basics of kinetic theories. The study work is focused on the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge, calculation of the order of chemical reactions, rate constants, and activation energy.
