The course aims to consolidate and develop general language structures and functions, and to introduce academic language concepts and terminology. It enables students to develop their existing general Latvian language knowledge into areas of linguistics and culture. The course includes: practice in the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing), grammar and specific vocabulary development and cultural and social aspects of Latvian.
