Signālu teorija (studiju projekts)(English)(1),24/25-P

In the study project and accompanying laboratory works students gain practical skills and experience in use of signal processing in digital and analogue electronic systems. Studies start with learning how to calculate average power and energy of the signal. Course continues with Frequency-domain analysis of continuous-time signals in linear time-invariant systems using Fourier queues and Fourier transform. Students explore how to use discrete Fourier transform for the signal processing in the digital domain. The basics of digital filtering and the simplest uses for digital filters are explored. Further work is devoted to analogue and digital modulation formats, their advantages and disadvantages, applications in communication systems. The identification of random signals and noise as well as treatment of those signals in the electronic systems are being discussed.
