The study course reviews and classifies medical equipment used in the healthcare from the point of energy, either natural one or artificially applied to human body, used for diagnostic and treatment. The study course examines modern tendencies in medical physics and biomedical engineering, as well as provides examples of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Applications of electrical, magnetic, electromagnetic, mechanical, heat and acoustic energy are considered. Students should prepare an essay on selected medical equipment, its applications and development trends.
