Within the framework of the study course, basic principles and guidelines for the design of the plant shall be examined in accordance with the regulatory enactments and guidelines of the Republic of Latvia. Special requirements for the design of medicinal products shall be considered. The study, as part of the study course, explains why it is necessary to examine several versions of the technological process project and how to carry out a technological and economic assessment of the plant project. The principles of choice of technological equipment are clarified, calculation methodologies are analysed, capital investment and operational costs are compared. As part of the study course, the role of unification and standardization is clarified and analysed, the costs of the production site project calculated.
