During the course the following issues are analyzing and discussing: the theoretical framework of sustainable living environment, quality of living environment, and best practice principles of planning for sustainable living environment. Comparative analysis of formal and informal methods for planning and implementation of sustainable living environment in Latvia, European Union and elsewhere are carried out.
