The study course provides basic knowledge about the life cycle of materials, the basic principles of material selection for obtaining a certain product, ageing and recycling of materials. The student will acquire competence and skills to make technically, ecologically and economically justified choice of materials using appropriate concepts and methodologies based on basic knowledge of material structure and properties during the projected service life of their changes, as well as sustainable waste disposal solutions.
