Decision making and probabilistic reasoning

The course “Decision making and probabilistic reasoning” focuses on decision making theory and, more specifically, decision analysis methods and knowledge models involving probabilities. The course spans from simple table-based models of probabilistic events to complex influence diagrams and fuzzy reasoning systems. Participants will gain an understanding of how decision problems are framed, modeled, and evaluated to gain a deeper insight into the decision problem. Elements of artificial intelligence will be covered by multiple methods performing probabilistic reasoning. This course teaches how probabilistic reasoning can help make better decisions.
