The widespread availability of computer science achievements to the industry makes it possible to significantly improve the competitiveness of companies in existing market segments through high efficiency and comprehensive digitisation, as well as to open up new segments offering products not yet accessible to the market and services. Inevitably, the introduction and development of new products are linked to research and industrial research.
As part of the study course, students will be offered topical research problems for specific companies to create new products or services. This will serve as a basis for defining the issues to be addressed by the study, choosing solutions methods, resolving the issue and presenting the results in the form of an appropriate report for the company. This highlights the main difference between industrial research and the orientation of a particular product or service.
