Fizikālo un datoreksperimentu plānošana un analīze(English)(1),23/24-R

The study course explores tools for the design of the experiments and analysing the resulting data, which are necessary for specialists in engineering and manufacturing fields and researchers, and which could be used as well in other technical fields such as chemical, medical, and economic. The study course will examine how to design experiments, carry them out, and analyse their yield data. Various experiment designs are discussed, and their respective differences, advantages, and disadvantages are noted. The study course explores experiments that are carried on site in manufacturing facilities and in scientific laboratories and contemporary computer experiments. The distinctive difference of computer experiments is that results are deterministic, and the regression function is not known before the experiment. Solving the tasks is demonstrated with the help of various computer programs, including MS Excel and field-specific programmes like Design-Expert, KEDRO, EDAOpt.
