The study course provides students with the practice they need to write Master’s thesis, articles in academic journals and other academic texts such as essays, reports, etc. The study course covers the conventions and the style of academic writing and intends to develop the basic skills in academic writing, thus improve the readability of the students’ academic texts.
The study course is also focused on how to write standard sections of academic texts, such as abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology session, results and discussion, conclusion. The class activities and assignments are built on authentic materials selected according to the students’ research interests. Students receive detailed feedback on their writing through class activities, peer editing, and instructions provided by academic staff.
