The internship is one of the most important components of the study programme, the aim of which is to improve the student's professional skills and competencies in a professional environment, as well as to strengthen and supplement knowledge. During the internship, the student acquires the practical skills necessary for the development of the master's thesis and strengthens the theoretical knowledge. During the internship, the student gains experience in the chosen specializations in the work of a chemical engineer - technologist - production technology and environmental aspects, chemistry and technology of biomaterials. During the internship, the student gains insight into technical documentation, production, product/service development processes, and equipment. Recommended practice places: in Latvian chemical and pharmaceutical and related companies, where chemical technology processes are implemented - in the fields of pharmacy, biotechnology, functional cosmetics development, food industry, wood chemistry, water and environmental treatment, waste recycling, etc., as well as in RTU Institute of General Chemical Engineering. The internship ends with the public defence of the internship report.
