In the study course, students are introduced to different types of biopolymers, biocomposites and biomaterials, their properties and applications. The study course creates an in-depth understanding of the chemical structure of biopolymers, the composition of biocomposites, the preparation of ecocomposites and the processing technologies of sustainable biomaterial products. Acquisition of the content of the study course takes place by combining theory and practice, experimentally synthesizing biopolymers and biocomposites in the laboratory.
