The study course looks at the operation and structure of a computer at the hardware level and how the hardware is connected to the software. Computer architecture is created from basic logic gates until the operating system level during the study course, thus creating comprehension of how each element is structured and its role in combined computer organization. Students learn Boolean logic and its implementation in hardware, CPU and Memory design and operation, designing of computer architecture and instruction set and their connection to operating system and software.
