Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills are generally (and misleadingly) portrayed as mutually exclusive to math and science skills, implying that people are almost always more skilled in one at the expense of the other. However, it is becoming ever more important for STEM students to be able to communicate effectively within teams and society at large.
