The intent of this course is to provide students an overview of the major areas of psychology.?It will help students to gain greater understanding in the complexities of human behavior. The course will start with definition of Psychology, scientific basis of Psychology and historical overview of studies that influenced modern Psychology. Biological, genetic and evolutionary basis of human behavior will be discussed. Human perception, sensation, cognition will be analyzed. During the course it is intended to look at human development and personality to better understand human behavior and social relations. This course will help students to better understand social incidents explaining them from psychological perspective.
