A multidisciplinary course, which consists of a series of lectures, practical classes and seminars dealing with the selected topics in the fields of communication, information and translation theory. The students apprehend semantic, pragmatic, cultural, and extra-linguistic aspects of interlingual information transfer (ITT) considering the implications these aspects have in a variety of communicative settings, i.e. scientific, technical and promotional discourse. The course is integrated with other subjects on the curriculum to ensure students develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles of information management, information processing and interlingual information transfer.
