Vertically Integrated Projects(English)(1),16/17-P
The Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) course unites education and faculty research in a team-based context. VIP students earn academic credits, while faculty benefit from the results of design/discovery of their teams.
VIP attracts students from many disciplines and enables the completion of large-scale design/discovery projects, strengthening and expanding faculty research portfolios.
The teams are:
• multidisciplinary – drawing students from all disciplines on campus;
• vertically-integrated – maintaining a mix of levels of studies each semester, from Bachelor through Doctoral students;
• long-term – each Bachelor student may participate in a project for up to three years and each Master or Doctoral student may participate for the whole duration of their studies.
