Research work is independent, written research conducted by a Doctoral student on a topical scientific issue in construction business, management, environmental and spatial management, economics, economic geography or urban planning and urban development. Within the framework of the research work, in close cooperation with the scientific advisor, the Doctoral student solves significant research or innovative tasks in the chosen field (sub-field) at the national and international levels. Doctoral student independently proposes the research idea, plans, structures and conducts research based on the theoretical knowledge of research methodology acquired during the studies, by carrying out independent, critical analysis and synthesis. The result of the research is the developed Doctoral Thesis, which according to the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers may be a Doctoral Thesis or a set of published scientific articles. Scientific research may be applied or fundamental in the fields of construction, entrepreneurship, management, economics, environment, economic geography, urban planning and urban development or in the related interdisciplinary fields and involve the development of new scientific and practical innovations, situation modelling, forecasting, development of new definitions or methods, determination and classification of factors etc. for scientific novelties.
Within the framework of the research work, the Doctoral student, reflecting the results of the research, develops and publishes scientific articles in internationally cited scientific editions, and reports on them at international scientific conferences.
