This is the first part of the Academic English course: punctuation module, which will go over some of the basics of English punctuation to help students avoid pitfalls in writing. It provides insights into English syntax and clearly describes the basic concepts, such as sentence subordination, various types of clauses and sentence connectors.
The aim of the course — to enable students use punctuation marks correctly when writing for academic purposes — is achieved through applying the practices of reciprocal learning, thereby students interact and work collaboratively in groups (ZOOM mode) completing quizzes (4) and contributing to a common goal.
All the classes in the course are conducted in the form of student-centred collaborative work.
