The main components of the study course "Fundamentals of Business Logistics” are supply, production and distribution, i.e. how to ensure the flow of materials, semi-finished or finished products from the supplier to the end user that involves a physical flow of orders, information and goods.
The subject is based on the knowledge acquired during the first study year, i.e. in microeconomics, marketing, entrepreneurship economics, and is a separate business sphere for the subjects to be acquired additionally in the second study year.
The subject consists of lectures and practical classes, the topics of which include the most important spheres of logistics. The teaching staff act as mediators helping students acquire the theory and conducting practical classes. Students independently acquire the theoretical material independently using textbooks and special literature. Students independently analyse and evaluate case studies, make decisions and substantiate their choice and take part in discussions.
