The nature and importance of investments in the economy are discussed. Different forms of investment are considered: non-financial and financial investment, as well as methods of analysing information about investment objects. Attention is paid to the fundamentals of portfolio formation and the methodology of capital budgeting. The study course provides knowledge of basic investment decision making techniques as well as alternative sources of financing.
