The course itself covers all the key areas of crisis, including civil defence looking at areas like risks, early warning and intelligence, structures and tasks, command, and budgets

The course will look at both hard risks (Those that are traumatic and unexpected and kill quickly such as terrorism or chemical spillage disaster ) and soft risks (those that are less easy to deal with and may incapacitate the country rather than kill such as Cyber warfare, crop failure or financial collapse).
