The aim of the course is to develop students’ understanding of graphic design in the digital era. During the study process students will gain basic knowledge of colour, composition and theory of typography in graphic design. Students will learn to distinguish between graphic file formats and usability of such. An emphasis will be placed on practical skill development in "Adobe Illustrator", creating vector graphics, enhancing and manipulating images using "Adobe Photoshop" and application of the acquired knowledge of composition and typography using "Adobe InDesign" publication tool. Students will also gain the understanding of print formats and appropriate settings.
